The Cleveland Browns (7-7) need to be the Carolina Panthers (5-8) on Sunday to have a chance to make the playoffs this season. The Browns are in fourth place in the AFC North right now, while the Panthers are in first in the NFC South.

The Browns are now on a three-game losing skid after getting shut out 30-0 by the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. Cleveland had their worst offensive performance of the season in that loss, finishing with just 107 total yards.

Cleveland's defense has done well against the pass this season, giving up just 221.9 yards per game through the air. Through one start, rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel has thrown for 143 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions, and he's rushed for 26 yards and one score. Running back Isaiah Crowell has 546 rushing yards through 14 games with a team-high eight touchdowns.

The Panthers put themselves back in the playoff picture last Sunday by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19-17 at home. Their defense was solid in that win, holding the Bucs to just 287 yards and forcing three turnovers.

Through 14 games this year, the Panthers have only been able to score 20.6 points per game and they've given up 25.6 points per game. Quarterback Cam Newton has completed 58.4 percent of his passes this season for 2,812 yards, 16 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
