On Thursday afternoon, the Chicago Bears (5-6) will be going for their third win in a row on Thursday afternoon when they face the Detroit Lions (7-4). The Lions were able to win both of their games against the Bears last season.

This past Sunday, the Bears scored all 21 of their points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third quarter to help them win 21-13 at home. They only finished with 204 total yards in that game, but their defense did well to force four Tampa Bay turnovers.

The Bears have struggled to move the ball on the ground this season, averaging just 100.5 rushing yards per game. Quarterback Jay Cutler has had a pretty good season by throwing for 2,825 yards with 22 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Running back Matt Forte has 822 rushing yards, 598 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns.

The Lions lost their second game in a row last Sunday when they were blown out 34-9 by the New England Patriots. Their defense gave up 439 yards in that loss, including 349 yards through the air.

Through 11 games, the Lions are third in the NFL in yards against by only giving up 303.8 total yards per game. Wide receiver Golden Tate has been their best offense player this season by catching 72 passes for 1,047 yards and three touchdowns.
