The Carolina Panthers (6-8-1) and the Atlanta Falcons (6-9) will be playing for the NFC South crown in Atlanta on Sunday. In their Week 11 matchup, the Falcons were able to defeat the Panthers 19-17 on the road.

The Panthers won their third game in a row last Sunday when they beat the Cleveland Browns 17-13 at home. They played very well on defense in that win, holding the Browns to just 228 total yards.

Through 15 games, the Panthers are scoring just 10.3 points per game while allowing opponents to score 24.7 points per game against them. Quarterback Cam Newton currently has a low 81.3 passer rating having thrown for 3,013 yards with 17 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin has had a good season by catching 72 passes for 999 yards and a team-high nine touchdowns.

On Sunday, the Falcons were able to snap their two-game losing streak when they easily defeated the New Orleans Saints 30-14 on the road. Their defense held the Saints to just 57 rushing yards and forced them into committing four turnovers.

The Falcons have played well on offense this season, but their defense has allowed opposing offenses to gain over 400 yards per game against them. Quarterback Matt Ryan has been their best offensive player by throwing for 4,434 yards with 28 touchdown passes and 12 just interceptions.
