Sunday afternoon, the Buffalo Bills will visit the Denver Broncos.

The Buffalo Bills are still in the playoff hunt after beating the Cleveland Browns 26 -10 last week.  The Browns held a slim 3 -0 lead at halftime and that lead didn’t hold at all in the face of a strong 2nd half by the Bills. Buffalo scored 20 unanswered points in the 3rd and 4th quarters and seemed to be cruising to a big win.  But a slight comeback by the Browns forced the Bills to tighten things up in order to hold on for the win.  Buffalo made too many mistakes against Cleveland and against a great team like the Denver Broncos, mistakes will kill you.  Even if the Bills play mistake free football, the Broncos might still be too much for them.

The Denver Broncos rode one of their patented quick starts to a 29 - 16 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.  Peyton Manning threw 2 touchdowns to open the game and they Broncos added a field goal early in the 2nd quarter to take a 17 - 0 lead.  At the half, the lead was 20 – 7 and the Broncos were comfortably on top. Kansas City tried to make it close but the Broncos used 3 2nd half field goals by Connor Barth to maintain their advantage.  It wasn’t the complete game that we are used to seeing from Manning and company but it was enough to beat a reasonably good Chiefs team.  Denver relied heavily on their ground game against Kansas City but that will be tested against a Buffalo run defense that is one of the best in the NFL.
