Saturday afternoon, the West Virginia Mountaineers will face the TCU Horned Frogs.

The West Virginia Mountaineers added their 5^th straight victory on Tuesday after they beat the Virginia Tech Hokies 82 -51. The Mountaineers set the tone early with an 11 - 2 run to start the game. The Hokies eventually rallied back and made the game competitive. At the half, the Mountaineers lead was just 3 points. The Mountaineers reestablished themselves in the beginning of the 2^nd half and they began to take the game back. West Virginia built a double-digit lead and they held it for the rest of the game. Juwan Staten led the Mountaineers with 18 points as West Virginia shot 50% from the field and 41% from 3-point distance. With their impressive play as of late, the Mountaineers will certainly be a force in the Big 12 as conference play begins.

The TCU Horned Frogs remained undefeated after taking out the Tennessee State Tigers 60 - 40 on Monday night. Tennessee State held their own against TCU in the early going but by the midway point in the half, the Horned Frogs started to pull away. At the half, TCU was up 33 - 19. The Tigers regained their footing in the 2^nd half and they got back into the game. Tennessee State had cut the deficit to 5 before TCU pulled away one last time to seal the victory. The Horned Frogs shot just 39% from the field and 21% from beyond the arc as they were led by Kyan Anderson's 16 points. TCU is off to its best start in school history and they look almost unstoppable.
