The #3 Virginia Cavaliers will be opening up their ACC schedule when they visit the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday night. During the 2013-14 season, the Cavs were able to beat the Hurricanes 65-40 at home.

On Tuesday night, Virginia was able to keep their perfect record intact by defeating Davidson 83-72 at home. They had a 42-25 rebounding advantage in that win and only ended up turning the ball over five times.

So far this season, the Cavaliers are only giving up 48.3 points per game to their opponents, which is the second-lowest rate in the nation. One of their better players has been junior guard Justin Anderson, who is now averaging 15 points and 4.8 rebounds per game. Junior forward Anthony Gill has made 62.4 percent of his shots this season and is averaging 13.2 points with 7.2 rebounds per game.

Miami snapped their two-game losing streak on Tuesday when they blew out College of Charleston 67-40 at home. They had just seven turnovers in that win and were able to hold College of Charleston to a very low 29.6 field goal percentage.

The Hurricanes have played well on the defensive end of the court this season, allowing their opponents to score just 59.7 points per game. Junior guard Sheldon McClellan has been their top performer this season by averaging 15.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
