Friday night, the UCLA Bruins will face the Colorado Buffaloes.

The UCLA Bruins losing streak grew to 3 games after they lost 56 - 50 to the Alabama Crimson Tide last Sunday. That game was close in the early going due to the missed shots by both teams. Alabama found their stroke first and that allowed them to take control by the midway point of the 1^st half. UCLA recovered slightly but they were still down 29 - 17 at the half. The Bruins came out of the half with a renewed focus and they were quickly able to cut down the Crimson Tide's lead. But even though the Bruins kept things close and tied the game a few times, they weren't able to take the lead. UCLA was led by Bryce Alford and his 16 points as the Bruins shot just 30% overall and 26% from 3-point distance. The poor shooting and the numerous turnovers are a bad combination for the Bruins and until they straighten things out, the losing streak will continue.

The Colorado Buffaloes took their 2^nd loss in a row on Christmas Day after they fell 69 - 66 to the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The 1^st half was close with both teams fighting for control. Hawaii seemed to be the in front but Colorado finished strong to take a 33 - 32 lead at the half. The 2^nd half started close but towards the midway point, the Rainbow Warriors took over. But the Hawaii advantage didn't last long as the Buffaloes took over. Hawaii fought back one last time to take the win after Colorado missed a 3-pointer that would have given them the win. The Buffaloes shot 41% from the field and 29% from the distance as they were led by Josh Scott and his 23 points. As Pac-12 play opens, the Buffaloes will need to put all of the pieces together to get the wins that that they are capable of.
