Saturday morning, the SMU Mustangs will take on the Cincinnati Bearcats.

The SMU Mustangs notched their 8^th straight victory on Wednesday after they beat the South Florida Bulls 83 - 49. After the Mustangs opened with a 7 - 0 run they were off to the races. At the half, SMU was up 49 - 15 and the game's result was no longer in doubt. It was easy for SMU to maintain the lead the rest of the way as they opened AAC conference play. The Mustangs shot 52% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc as they were paced by Ben Moore's 15 points. The Mustangs are on fire and they will be a handful for any team that faces them in the near future.

The Cincinnati Bearcats made it 2 in a row on Monday after they beat the NC State Wolfpack 76 - 60. It was a tight game in the beginning but the Bearcats quickly broke the game open. The Wolfpack tried to keep up but they just couldn't and the Bearcats were up 41 - 26 at the half. In the 2^nd half, the Bearcats had no trouble maintaining their lead despite a late charge by the Wolfpack. Cincinnati was paced by Shaq Thomas and his 15 point effort as the Bearcats hit 53% of their shots. The Bearcats will have a tall task on Saturday as they open conference play against SMU. Even with a perfect game, the Bearcats might not have a chance on Saturday.
