The #9 Iowa State Cyclones will try to keep their long winning streak going on Saturday night when they play the South Carolina Gamecocks. The Cyclones are 1-0 on the road so far this season, while the Gamecocks have won six of their seven home games.

On Wednesday night, Iowa State won their seventh consecutive game when they routed Mississippi Valley State 83-33 at home. They were great on the boards in that win, finishing the game with a dominant 50-29 rebounding advantage.

The Cyclones lead the country in assists right now by averaging just under 20 helpers per game. Senior guard Bryce Dejean-Jones has scored 15.2 points per game while grabbing a team-high 6.2 rebounds per game this season. Junior forward Georges Niang has also played well and is currently leading the team in scoring with 16.1 points per game.

South Carolina outscored 47-16 in the first half of their game against North Carolina A&T on Tuesday night and rolled to a 91-54 home win. They shot the ball very well in that win, finishing with a 54.7 team field goal percentage.

So far this season, the Gamecocks are in the top 20 in blocks and are only giving up 57.9 points per game. Junior forward Laimonas Chatkevicius has been able to score 10.7 points per game this season while leading the team in rebounding with 6.1 boards per game.
