Friday night, the Florida State Seminoles will take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

The Florida State Seminoles made it 4 in a row on Tuesday night after they edged the Florida Gators 65 - 63. The in-state rivals battled back and forth in the 1^st half with each team seeming to hold the edge at times. The Seminoles rallied in the final seconds of the half and a 3-pointer gave them a 2 point lead at the break. Florida State maintained control until the midway point of the half when Florida got back on top. From that point, the back and forth battle resumed until the final second when the Seminoles got the winning basket after the Gators accidentally tipped the ball in. Montay Brandon led the way for the Seminoles with 17 points as Florida State shot 39% overall and 23% from the distance. If the Seminoles want to win consistently, they will need to rely more on shooting and less on luck.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs fell 66 - 47 to the McNeese State Cowboys on Tuesday night. The Cowboys started things off with an 11 - 3 run and they continued to set the pace in the 1^st half. At the break, McNeese State was up 36 - 23. The Bulldogs tried to get back into the game in the 2 ^nd half but their efforts were doomed by their poor shooting. Mississippi State shot just 41% from the field and 26% from beyond the arc but they allowed McNeese State to shoot 52% and 47% respectively. The Bulldogs were led by Craig Sword's season-high 11 points. Until the Bulldogs can get the ball in the basket at a higher percentage, the losses will continue to mount.
