On Monday, the Yale Bulldogs will be going for their fourth consecutive win when they take on the Florida Gators. Yale is 3-2 on the road right now, while Florida has won two out of their three home games.

Yale played excellent defense against Connecticut on Friday night and ended up holding on for a 45-44 road win. They only made 32.7 percent of their shots in that game, but they were able to force 13 turnovers and ended up with a 36-25 rebounding advantage.

The Bulldogs have only scored 67 points per game this season, but they have also held their opponents to just 59.5 points per game. Junior forward Justin Sears has had a strong start to the season by averaging 14.8 points and a team-high 9.6 rebounds per game. Senior guard Javier Duren is averaging 14.9 points, 5.7 boards and 1.4 steals per game so far this year.

On Friday night, Florida lost their second straight game to a ranked team when they were beaten 71-65 by #11 Kansas. They didn't shoot well from beyond the arc in that loss, making just four of their 14 three-point attempts.

The Gators have played pretty well on defense so far this year, but their offense has only made 39.5 percent of their shots. Their top player has been senior forward Jon Horford, who is now averaging 10.3 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game.
