The Wyoming Cowboys will try to keep their perfect record intact on Friday night when they visit the SMU Mustangs. SMU was able to win this matchup last season by the score of 62-54 in Wyoming.

On Tuesday, Wyoming won their seventh straight game to when they defeated Denver 68-42 on their home floor. They made nearly 60 percent of their shots in that win and only committed seven turnovers as a team.

Through their first seven games, the Cowboys have had one of the best field goal percentages in the nation by making 54.7 percent of their shots. Senior forward Larry Nance Jr. has clearly been their best player by averaging 15 points and six rebounds per game, and making over 62 percent of his shots from the field.

SMU were able to pick up their second win in a row when they beat Monmouth 63-51 at home. Their defense was very solid in that win, holding SMU to a 40 percent field goal percentage and forcing them into committing 16 turnovers.

The Mustangs have been able to score 71.6 points per game so far this season, but their defense is also giving up 65.1 points per game to their opponents. Their top scorer has been junior guard Nic Moore, who is averaging 14.4 points per game while also dishing out 5.6 assists per game.
