On Saturday night, the #2 Wisconsin Badgers will try to get back on the winning track when they face off against the Marquette Golden Eagles. During the 2013-14 season, the Badgers defeated the Golden Eagles 70-64 on their home floor.

Wisconsin lost their first game of the season last Wednesday when Duke beat them 80 in Wisconsin. The Badgers only had eight team turnovers in that game, but their offense was only able to make 40.7 percent of their shots.

The Badgers have been able to score 74 points per game this season while only giving up 54.3 points per game. Senior forward Frank Kaminsky has had a very good start to the season by averaging 16.6 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Sophomore Nigel Hayes is averaging 12.4 points per game this year and he's made 55 percent of his shots.

Marquette has now won three out of their last four games after defeating Tennessee 67-59 last Sunday. In that game, the Golden Eagles made six of their 14 three-point attempts and finished with a 53.5 percent field goal percentage.

The Golden Eagles are currently in the top 30 in the country in steals by notching 9.1 team steals per game. Their top performer through seven games has been senior forward Juan Anderson, who is averaging 12.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.
