Saturday night, the Washington Huskies will take on the Oklahoma Sooners.

The Washington Huskies thoroughly embarrassed the Grambling State Tigers Wednesday night as Washington took an 86 - 38 victory that boosted their record to 9 - 0. The Huskies won the opening tip and everything seemed to go their way from that moment on as they opened things with a 17 - 3 run. The lead swelled to over 30 points as the Huskies took a 32 point lead at the half. Unfortunately for the Tigers, the 2^nd half featured more of the same as the Huskies continued to pour it on. By the time the game was over, it had to be hard to watch for even the most ardent Washington fan. The Huskies held the Tigers to just 23% shooting overall as Washington shot 50% overall. The Huskies were led by Shawn Kemp Jr. and his career high 21 points. The points might not be as easy to come by for Washington as they take the floor against Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Sooners notched their 3^rd straight win as they beat the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles 85 - 53 on Tuesday night. Oklahoma opened up with a 13 - 4 run but Oral Roberts tried to keep the game from getting out of hand. The Golden Eagles were unsuccessful as the Sooners took a 15 point lead at the half. In the 2^nd half, Oral Roberts didn't have a prayer as the bigger Oklahoma team had their way with their smaller opponents. The longer the game went on, the larger the lead got for the Sooners. Oklahoma was paced by Buddy Hield and his 16 point effort as the Sooners shot 53% from the field while holding the Golden Eagles to 33% shooting. Oklahoma will need another big game if they want to deal Washington their first loss of the season.
