The last time the Stanford Cardinal visited the Washington State Cougars, Anthony Brown wasn't going let Washington State get this win. On this day, Brown could do no wrong and scored a career high 30 points. He also added five rebounds and two steals. In addition to a great game from the field, Brown was 10 of 11 from the charity stripe. Chasson Randle also had a solid game with 14 points, two rebounds, three assists and a steal. Randle was five for six from the free throw line in the late stages of the game helping the Cardinal come back home with a win.
Stanford jumped out to a big lead at the opening of the game going on a 14-3 run. The first half is where Brown did most of his damage going 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from the three point line. As a team, the Cardinal shot 63 percent in the first half and went into the locker room with a 39-24 lead.
Washington State just couldn't score. In the first half of this game the Cougars went six minutes without a score and helped Stanford to that large halftime lead. Washington State also committed nine turnovers in which Stanford turned into 17 points. The Cougars were led by Que Johnson with 14 points, eight rebounds and a steal. D.J. Shelton added 11 points, four rebounds and a block in the losing effort.
