On Friday night, the Vancouver Canucks will be going for their third win in a row when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Canucks and the Blue Jackets split their two-game regular season series last year.

The Canucks won their second consecutive game on Tuesday when they shut out the New Jersey Devils 2-0 on their home ice. Their defense was excellent in that game, holding New Jersey to just 20 shots.

Through their first 22 games, the Canucks are near the top of the league in scoring with three goals per game. Center Henrik Sedin has five goals this year and leads Vancouver with 21 points. Netminder Ryan Miller has a 14-3-0 record with two shutouts, a 2.47 GAA and a .908 save percentage.

On Tuesday night, the Blue Jackets lost their fourth straight game when they Winnipeg Jets beat them 4-2. They did out shoot the Jets 34-32, but they also allowed them to score on two out of their four power play chances.

The Blue Jackets are currently dead last in the league in scoring with just 3.6 goals per game against their opponents. Their top offensive player has been center Ryan Johansen, who now has eight goals and a team-best 16 assists. Goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has a 5-7-1 record through 13 starts with a .911 save percentage and a 2.95 GAA.
