On Sunday, the Massachusetts Minutemen will play their second game of the season when they face the Boston College Eagles. Early last season, Massachusetts was able to beat Boston College by the score of 86-73.
Massachusetts played in an entertaining game against Siena on Friday and were able to come away with a 95-97 win. They made 42.9 percent of their shots in that game, and they did well to take care of the ball by only turning it over eight times.
Massachusetts guard Trey Davis scored a game-high 18 points in that win over Siena and he also had three assists. Forward Maxie Esho had a solid game as well by scoring 13 points and grabbing six rebounds, while guard Derrick Gordon finished the game with eight points and two boards for the Minutemen.
Boston College avoided an opening game upset by defeating New Hampshire 58-50 on Friday night. They were only able to make 39.6 percent of their shots in that game, but their defense did a great job to force New Hampshire into committing 18 turnovers.
Forward Aaron Brown missed all six of his shots from beyond the arc for Boston College in that opening game, but he did finish with a team-high 18 points.
