Sunday night, the UCLA Bruins will take on the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The UCLA Bruins will come into this one after taking one of the worst beatings in school history back on December 20^th. The Bruins took an 83 - 44 spanking at the hands of the #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats. The Wildcats embarrassed the Bruins early after opening up the game on a 24 - 0 run. The Bruins would score just 7 points in the 1^st half and they were down 41 - 7 at the break. Things didn't improve much for UCLA in the 2 ^nd half as they tried their best to put enough points on the board to lessen the severity of the eventual Kentucky victory. The Bruins shot just 26% overall and 31% from beyond the arc as they were led by Isaac Hamilton and his 14 points. UCLA will certainly try to erase the memory of the humiliating loss as they face the Crimson Tide.

The Alabama Crimson Tide escaped with a 60 - 59 victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers on December 21^st. The Mountaineers surprised the Crimson Tide early on by taking control of the game. Alabama managed to climb back into the game but they were still down 29 - 27 at the half. Appalachian State came out in the 2^nd half determined to hold on for the upset and for most of the half it looked like they were going to get the win. The Crimson Tide surged in the final minutes to steal away the win. Alabama shot just 41% overall and 23% from 3-point distance as they were paced by Michael Kessens and his 17 points. The Crimson Tide will have a determined Bruins team on the court and they can't afford another lackluster effort if they want to get the victory.
