The Texas Southern Tigers will have a hard time ending their losing streak on Monday night as they will have to go up against the #9 Gonzaga Bulldogs. The Tigers have an 0-7 road record right now, while the Bulldogs have been able to win all five of their home games.

Texas Southern has now lost seven of their first eight games of the season after being blown out 75-50 by Florida on the road. They committed 16 turnovers in that loss and were only able to make 33.3 percent of their shot attempts.

So far this year, the Tigers have only averaged 59.9 points per game while giving up a whopping 74.5 points per game to their opponents. Junior forward Chris Thomas has been their best player through eight games by averaging 16.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Senior guard Madarious Gibbs has scored 9.4 points per game while dishing out a team-high 4.8 assists per game.

On Saturday night, Gonzaga outscored UCLA 38-27 in the first half and came away with an easy 87-74 road win. They shot the ball very well in that win, finishing with a 58.5 field goal percentage.

Through their first 10 games this season, the Bulldogs are in the top 10 in the nation in scoring with 84.7 points per game. Junior forward Kyle Wiltjer has made 54 percent of his shots this season and is averaging 17.2 points with 5.4 rebounds per game.
