The Temple Owls will be visiting the #7 Villanova Wildcats on Sunday afternoon in a game between two very solid defenses. Last season, Villanova was able to blow out the Owls 90-74 on the road.

In their last game, Temple had a 51-point second half against Towson to help them pull off a 76-64 home victory. They didn't shoot the ball particularly well in that win, but they took care of the ball and only ended up with six turnovers.

The Owls have not shot the ball well so far this season, hitting just 36.4 percent of their shots. Senior guard Will Cummings has been dominant recently and is currently averaging 14.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game for Temple. Junior guard Quenton DeCosey has also been pretty good to start the year by averaging 14.3 points and 3.9 boards per game through nine games.

Villanova kept their undefeated record intact on Tuesday night by going on the road and beating Illinois 73-59. They made 53.7 percent of their shot attempts in that win while also outrebounding Illinois 37-30.

Through nine games, the Wildcats have been able to average 75.1 points per game while only allowing their opponents to score 56.1 points per game against them. Junior forward Daniel Ochefu has had a good start to the season by averaging 9.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game.
