Sunday afternoon, the Stanford Cardinal will take on the DePaul Blue Demons.

The Stanford Cardinal will come in after making short work of the Delaware Blue Hens last Tuesday en route to an 84 - 47 victory.   The Blue Hens held their ground against the Cardinal for the first few minutes, but then the Cardinal broke away and that was the end of the story.  By the half, Stanford held a 44 – 21 lead.  The rest of the game was all Stanford as they comfortably stayed way ahead of Delaware.  The Cardinal shot just 44% from the field but that was more than enough to beat the Blue Hens who only shot 29%.  Stanford was led in scoring by Chasson Randle and his 15 point effort.  The Cardinal will need their best efforts to get past a DePaul team that will come in reeling after a surprising loss their last time out.

The DePaul Blue Demons  just couldn’t find a way to get the  ball in the basket in their last game on Wednesday night and the poor shooting led to a 86 – 74 loss to the Lehigh Mountain Hawks.  DePaul scored the first basket of the game but Lehigh went on an 8 – 0 run to start things off and that might have foreshadowed how things would turn out for the Blue Demons.  Lehigh kept making their shots as they built a 41 - 30 lead at the half.  The Blue Demons tried to get back into it in the 2nd half but they just couldn’t seem to find their shooting touch.  DePaul shot a dismal 36% from the field as Lehigh shot 56%.   The Blue Demons were led by Myke Henry and his 24 point night and they had 4 players in double-digits but it just wasn’t enough.  The loss just might shock DePaul into playing a much better game on Sunday afternoon.
