Friday night, the Seattle Redhawks will visit the Minnesota Golden Gophers.

The Seattle Redhawks got back to .500 after beating the Northwest College Eagles 84 – 58 on Monday night.  The Redhawks faced some stiff competition from the Eagles early on.  But by the middle of the 1st half, the Redhawks began to pull away.  Behind a 7 - 0 run, Seattle took a 12 point lead at the half.  Northwest College couldn’t find a way to get close in the 2nd half as Seattle maintained a double-digit lead all through the final half of play.  The Redhawks shot 50% from the field and 61% from beyond the arc as they were led by Jarell Flora and his 24 points.  The Redhawks will more than likely face a tougher opponent in the Golden Gophers on Friday.

The Minnesota Golden Gophers had no trouble dealing the Southern Jaguars an 85 - 57 defeat back on December 10th.  The Golden Gophers fell behind early to the Jaguars but they quickly regained their composure as they went on a 12 - 0 run.  By halftime, Minnesota had a 23 point lead and the victory was well in hand.  The Golden Gophers resisted any attempts by the Jaguars to get back into the game and they held a comfortable advantage the rest of the way.  Andre Hollins led the way for Minnesota with 24 points as the Golden Gophers shot 54% overall and 53% from 3-point territory.  If Minnesota goes on another tear Friday night, they will pick up their 7th win at home.
