In a battle of two solid teams looking to build a nice NCAA resume, the St. Louis Billikens will take on the Wichita State Shockers. This game is scheduled for Saturday evening at the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita. The Billikens are 5-2 overall, and have won their lone road game this season. St. Louis is looking to win their third straight game after wins over Bradley and Rockhurst. Wichita State is 4-1 overall and have won 3 straight games at home this season. The Shockers lost at Utah on December 3rd.

Wichita State is coming off their best season in school history; which saw them lose the Kentucky in the third round of the NCAA Tournament. The Shockers still have great scorers in Ron Baker and Fred VanVleet. Baker leads the team with 17.8 points per game, while VanVleet is adding 13.4. In the loss to Utah, Baker led the team with 15 points. Wichita State has wins over Memphis and Tulsa on their early season resume. The Shockers are allowing less than 60 points per game defensively.

For St. Louis, they are led by head coach Jim Crews. The Billikens have won back-to-back Atlantic 10 Conference titles. The leading scorer for the Billikens is Austin McBroom, scoring 13.1 points per game. In the win over the Rockhurst Hawks, freshman Miles Reynolds scored 14 points. This is the final game on the road for St. Louis until January 6th at George Washington. The Billikens will play six straight home games.
