On Saturday afternoon, the SMU Mustangs will be going for their sixth consecutive win when they face the struggling Michigan Wolverines. The Mustangs are 0-2 on the road so far this year, while the Wolverines are 5-2 on their home floor.

SMU kept their hot streak going on Wednesday night when they easily beat UIC 67-46 on their home court. They had a 43-27 rebounding advantage in that win and ended up making 53.7 percent of their shots.

Through 10 games played, the Mustangs have one of the best field goal percentages in the country by making 48.8 percent of their shots. Junior guard Nic Moore has been their best player this season by averaging a team-high 14.5 points and 4.9 assists per game. Senior center Yanick Moreira has also had a good start to the year by averaging 12.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Last Saturday, Michigan lost their third straight game when the #3 Arizona Wildcats beat them 80-53 on the road. The Wolverines had a hard time making their shots in that game, finishing with a 35.2 field goal percentage,

So far this season, the Wolverines have averaged 68.9 points per game while allowing their opponents to score 68.9 points per game against them. Junior guard Caris LeVert has had a very good start to the year by averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.
