The Purdue Boilermakers will try to extend their winning streak on Saturday night when they play the Vanderbilt Commodores. This will be Purdue's first road game of the season, while the Commodores are currently 4-1 at home.

On Wednesday night, Purdue outscored Arkansas State 52-18 in the first half of their game and rolled to an 87-46 home win. Their defense forced 17 Arkansas State turnovers in that game while holding them to a 29.8 field goal percentage.

Through 10 games, the Boilermakers have averaged 77.3 points per game while only giving up 58.4 points per game. Freshman forward Vince Edwards has been able to make 56.9 percent of his shot attempts this season and is averaging 10.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Kendall Stephens currently leads the team in scoring with 12.4 points per game.

Vanderbilt played in a back-and-forth game against Baylor last Thursday, but came up just short in the 66-63 away loss. They did not shoot well from beyond the arc in that game, making just three of their 17 three-point attempts.

The Commodores are currently in the top 25 in field goal percentage in the country by making nearly 50 percent of their shots. Sophomore big man Damian Jones has clearly been their best player through seven games by averaging 17.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.
