On Sunday, the Oakland Golden Grizzlies will attempt to win their fourth consecutive game when they play the Michigan State Spartans. In a close game between these two teams last season, the Spartans were able to come away with a 67-63 win over the Grizzlies.

After starting the season with four straight losses, Oakland has now won four of their last five after defeating Morehead State 70-68 on the road last Saturday. They made 50 percent of their shots in that win while their defense was able to force 16 turnovers.

The Golden Grizzlies have had a pretty good offense so far this year, but their defense is one of the worst by giving up nearly 77 points per game. Senior forward Corey Petros has scored a team-high 16.7 points per game this season while pulling down 8.2 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Kahlil Felder has also had a good start by averaging 15.6 points and 7.6 assists per game.

Michigan State snapped their two-game losing skid last weekend when they blew out Arkansas-Pine Bluff 85-52 at home. They shot well from beyond the arc in that win, making 10 of their 18 three-point attempts.

So far this year, the Spartans have scored just over 75 points per game while only allowing their opponents to average 61 points per game against them.
