On Saturday night, the high-scoring Northern Colorado Bears will stay in the state when they visit the Colorado Buffaloes. The Bears have lost all three of their road games so far this year, while the Buffaloes have gone 5-1 on their home court.

Last weekend, Northern Colorado had their three-game winning streak snapped when Colorado State beat them 66-58 on the road. The Bears were outrebounded 41-33 in that loss and they were only able to make four of their 21 three-pointers.

So far this season, Northern Colorado's offense is in the top 40 in the country in scoring by averaging 78 points per game. Senior forward Dominique Lee has been one of their more consistent players by averaging 8.6 points and six rebounds per game while making nearly 72 percent of his shot attempts.

Colorado lost their second straight game on Wednesday night when they were edged 62-60 by Colorado State at home. They did have a big 40-26 rebounding advantage in that loss, but their offense was only able to make 40.4 percent of their shots.

Colorado has not played very well offensively through eight games, but their defense has done well to limit other teams to just 59 points per game against them. Their best all-around player has been junior forward Josh Scott, who is now averaging a team-high 14.8 points and 8.5 rebounds per game on the season.
