The high-scoring #21 North Carolina Tar Heels will be going on the road to face the #1 Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. During the 2013-14 season, the Tar Heels were able to beat the Wildcats 82-77 on their home court.

Last Sunday, UNC played their best offensive game of the year when they blew out East Carolina 108-64 at home. They made 60 percent of their shots in that win and only ended up turning the ball over eight times.

Through eight games, the Tar Heels are in the top 20 in the country in scoring with over 81 points per game. Their top all-around player has been sophomore forward Kennedy Meeks, who is now averaging 13.8 points and a team-best 10.1 rebounds per game. Junior guard Marcus Paige is the team's leading scorer right now by averaging 14 points per game.

Kentucky maintained their undefeated record on Wednesday night by beating Columbia 56-46 at home. They didn't shoot very well in that game, but they did finish with a huge 41-28 rebounding advantage.

The Wildcats currently have the top-rated defense in the nation by only allowing their opponents to score 45.8 points per game against them. Junior forward Willie Cauley-Stein has led the way for Kentucky by averaging 10.3 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game while also making 61.8 percent of his shot attempts.
