The Nicholls State Colonels will be heading out on the road on Saturday afternoon to face the solid defense of the #5 Wisconsin Badgers. The Colonels have lost all four of their road games this season, while the Badgers are 2-0 at home.

Nicholls State was finally able to pick up their first win of the season when they blew out Loyola NO 89-60 at home. They ended up with a 47-30 rebounding advantage in that win and were able to make 54.5 percent of their shots.

Through their first five games, the Colonels have had one of the worst defenses in the nation by allowing their opponents to score 80.8 points per game against them. Freshman forward Ja'Dante' Frye has had a very good start to the year by averaging 10.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while making 51 percent of his shot attempts.

Wisconsin is now 9-1 after easily defeating Milwaukee 93-54 on the road on Wednesday. In that game, the Badgers made eight of their 16 three-point attempts and finished with a very solid 60.9 field goal percentage.

The Badgers have been able to score 73.4 points per game this season while giving up just 52.6 points per game. Their top contributor this season has been senior forward Frank Kaminsky, who is now averaging 16.6 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
