Thursday afternoon, the New Mexico Lobos will take on the Boston College Eagles.

The New Mexico Lobos come into this one 2 -0 after beating the Cal-State Fullerton Titans in their last game. Early on, the game was all New Mexico as they sprinted out to an 8 point lead. But Fullerton closed the gap and made the game interesting for the remainder of the 1^st half. The Lobos pulled away slightly to end the half with an 8 point lead. The Titans let the game get away from them early in the 2^nd half but they eventually eliminated a double-digit deficit to mount a rally. But New Mexico got baskets when they needed to and they pulled away one last time to seal the win. New Mexico shot 48% from the field and 55% from beyond the arc as Cullen Neal led them with a 23 point night. Another strong effort for Neal against Boston College could lead to another win.

The Boston College Eagles will bring a 1 -1 record to this game after being on the losing end of the scoreboard in their last outing. They took a 71 - 62 loss to the UMass Minutemen on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles had the advantage in the 1^st half and took a 32 -24 lead into the half. But in the 2 ^nd half, things were completely different. UMass took advantage of some Boston College turnovers to open the 2^nd half in a big way. The Eagles weren't able to recover from that sloppy 2^nd half start and that was a big factor in the loss. Boston College shot a dismal 35% from the field and committed 31 fouls while being led by Oliver Hanlon and his 18 point effort. Better shooting and better ball handling will be a must if the Eagles want to get past the Lobos.
