The Navy Midshipmen will be playing their second tough opponent in three days when they take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Sunday afternoon.

Navy put up a good fight in their game against #18 Michigan State on Friday, but they came up just short and lost 64-59. They forced 15 turnovers in that loss, but they were only able to make five of their 17 three-point attempts.

In that game against Michigan State, Navy got a good performance out of guard Brandon Venturini, who had 11 points, five rebounds and five assists in the loss. Forward Edward Alade had a team-high 12 points in that game, while Jace Hogan came off of the bench to contribute six points, two steals and a block in 15 minutes on the floor.

Notre Dame played well on both ends of the court on Friday night when they beat Binghamton 82-39 in their opening game. They made over 55 percent of their shots in that win and they only ended up turning the ball over seven times.

Senior guard Pat Connaughton made four of his five shots from beyond the arc for the Fighting Irish and had 17 points with 10 rebounds. Junior big man Zach Auguste had a team-high 19 points and grabbed seven boards, while guard Jerian Grant had 14 points, five assists and five steals in the win.
