On Saturday night, the NC State Wolfpack will be going up against the #22 West Virginia Mountaineers in the Gotham Classic. The Wolfpack are 0-1 on the road this season, and the Mountaineers have been able to win three of their first four home games.

NC State outscored NC State 39-27 in the first half of their game on Wednesday night, which helped them pick up the 83-72 home win. They made 11 three-pointers in that win and ended up with a 51.1 field goal percentage.

The Wolfpack have one of the largest rebounding differentials in the country by grabbing 41.9 boards per game while allowing their opponents to grab just 30 per game. Junior guard Trevor Lacey has averaged a team-best 17.2 points per game this season while making 54.5 percent of his shots.

Last Sunday, West Virginia won their second game in a row when they defeated Marshall 69-66 at home. They did not shoot the ball well in that game, but their defense made up for it by forcing Marshall into committing 24 turnovers.

So far this season, the Mountaineers lead the country in steals by averaging 13.7 per game, and their offense is in the top 30 in scoring with 78.4 points per game. Senior guard Juwan Staten has led the way by averaging 15 points and 1.9 steals per game, while senior forward Jonathan Holton currently leads the team in rebounding with 7.8 per game.
