Tuesday night, the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers will face the Seton Hall Pirates.

The Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers were completely out of their depth as they were routed in their last game by the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 83 – 49.  The Mountaineers fell behind early and that’s where they stayed.  At the half, Mount St. Mary’s was down 44 – 20 and the beating continued in the 2nd half.  The Demon Deacons didn’t let up at all as they went up by as many as 41 points as the game drew to a close. The Mountaineers were led by Liam McManimon and his 10 points as they shot just 35% overall and 21% from beyond the arc.  Unfortunately for the Mountaineers, they might end up on the losing end of things as they take on the Pirates.

The Seton Hall Pirates escaped with a 58 - 54 victory over the George Washington Colonials in their last game on Saturday afternoon.  That game was tight from the opening tip as each team failed to stretch out against their opponents.  Neither team led by more than 4 as Seton Hall held a slim 25 -23 lead at the half.  The teams resumed their back and forth battle in the 2nd half as once again, Seton Hall found a way to get the advantage and hold on for the win.  The Pirates shot just 38% from the field and went just 2 for 8 (25%) from 3 –point distance.  They were led by Isaiah Whitehead and his 15 point effort.   Seton Hall will need a better shooting performance if they want to ensure a victory over Mount St. Mary’s.
