Sunday afternoon, the Milwaukee Panthers will take on the DePaul Blue Demons.

The Milwaukee Panthers had a closer game on Wednesday night with the UMKC Kangaroos than they expected but they managed to come away with a 65 – 56 victory.  Milwaukee took control early but UMKC rallied towards the end of the 1st half to make it a 28 – 22 game at halftime.   The Kangaroos kept up the pressure on the Panthers in the 2nd half as well and Milwaukee couldn’t find a way to break away from their pesky opponents.  But they did hold on for a hard fought victory.  Milwaukee was led by Steve McWhorter and his 17 points as they shot 44% overall and 34% from the distance.   If Milwaukee felt challenged by UMKC, they will face a bigger challenge against DePaul.

The DePaul Demons had no problem putting away the Chicago State Cougars 84 -60 in their last game on Thursday night.  DePaul got on top of Chicago St. early and never really let up.  By halftime, the Demons were up 47 -30 on the Cougars.  The 2nd half was more of the same as Chicago St. never found a way to slow down DePaul.  The Demons were paced by Tommy Hamilton IV as he scored a career best 27 points.  DePaul shot 52% from the field and 44% from 3-point land while they held Chicago St. to just 36% shooting.   If the Demons put up the same numbers against the Panthers, they will certainly add another win.
