The #18 Miami Hurricanes, who have lost two out of their last three games, will be facing off against the Providence Friars on Monday night. The Hurricanes have won both of their road games this season, while the Friars are 6-1 on their home floor.

On Friday night, Miami scored just 19 second-half points against Eastern Kentucky and were upset 72-44 at home. They had 14 turnovers in that loss and were only able to win 29.3 percent of their shot attempts.

So far this season, the Hurricanes have been able to score 70.7 points per game while giving up 60 points per game to their opponents. Junior guard Sheldon McClellan is Miami's top scorer by averaging 16 points per game and he has made 56.8 percent of his shots. Junior center Tonye Jekiri has scored just 6.9 points per game, but he also leads the team with 9.4 rebounds per game.

On Saturday afternoon, Providence picked up their third win in a row when they easily defeated Massachusetts 85-65 at home. They had a 42-32 rebounding advantage in that win and were able to force 18 UMass turnovers.

Through 12 games this season, the Friars have done well to hold opponents to just over 60 points per game. Their best player so far this season has been senior forward LaDontae Henton, who is now averaging 19.6 points per game.
