A Big Ten team will take on a Big 12 team on Sunday in college basketball. The Maryland Terrapins, who are ranked 17th in the nation will play the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Maryland is 10-1 overall, but are playing in their first true road game of the season. Oklahoma State is 9-1, and have won all six of their home games. The Terrapins lone loss came to the third ranked Virginia Cavaliers earlier in the month, and Oklahoma State dropped a game to South Carolina.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have won their last two games. The Cowboys downed Memphis on the road, and then came home and beat the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State. Oklahoma State's top scorer is Le'Bryan Nash with 17.7 per game. Phil Forte III also is scoring over 17 points per game. In the win over MTSU, Nash led the way with 16 points. The Cowboys are scoring just shy of 75 points per game as a team.

The Maryland Terrapins are on a three game winning streak. Following the loss to Virginia, Maryland downed Winthrop, North Carolina Central and South Carolina Upstate. The top scorer for Maryland is Dez Wells with 16.2 per game. In the win on December 13th Jake Layman led the way with 17 points. The best win of the season thus far for the Terrapins came on November 25th over Iowa State.
