The Long Beach State 49ers will have a hard time snapping their four-game losing streak as they will have to go up against the #4 Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday. The 49ers currently own an 0-7 road record, while the Cardinals have been able to win eight of their nine home games.

On Sunday afternoon, Long Beach State scored just 21 second-half points against Syracuse and ended up being blown out 85-67 on the road. Their offense played pretty well in that game, but their defense allowed Syracuse to make 57.7 percent of their shots.

The 49ers are averaging just over 67 points per game this season, but they have given up around 75 points per game. Senior guard Mike Caffey has been their top player this year by averaging 17.6 points per game while making 47 percent of his three-point attempts.

Louisville lost for the first time this season on Saturday when #1 Kentucky beat them 58-50 at home. The Cardinals had their worst shooting game of the season in that one, making just 25.9 percent of their shots.

The Cardinals are currently in the top five in the country in both points allowed per game and rebounding. Junior forward Montrezl Harrell has had a very good start to the campaign by averaging 16 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game. Sophomore guard Terry Rozier has scored a team-high 16.6 points per game while grabbing 5.8 boards per game.
