The LSU Tigers and the Old Dominion Monarchs will both be looking to stay undefeated when they face each other on Friday night.

On Tuesday, LSU outscored Texas Tech 35-23 in the second half and ended up pulling off a 69-64 overtime win. They only made two of their 19 three-point attempts in that game, but their defense did well to force 17 turnovers.

The Tigers have done very well on the boards through two games, grabbing 47 rebounds per game against their opponents. Sophomore forward Jordan Mickey has had a great start to the season by averaging 19.5 points, 10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Jarell Martin has scored 19 points per game and leads the team with 11.5 rebounds per game.

On Tuesday night, Old Dominion used a strong first half to defeat local rival Richmond 63-57 on their home court. They made six of their 14 three-point attempts in that win and they only ended up turning the ball over nine times.

The Monarchs are scoring 69.5 points per game this season and they have blocked 5.5 shots per game as a team. Their top player has been junior guard Trey Freeman, who is averaging 18 points, four rebounds and four assists per game. Center Jonathan Arledge has averaged 12 points and seven rebounds per game through two games for Old Dominion.
