The solid defense of the #1 Kentucky Wildcats will be squaring off against the high-scoring UCLA Bruins on Saturday afternoon in the CBS Sports Classic. This will be the Wildcats' first road game of the season, while the Bruins have been able to win seven of their first eight home games.

Last Saturday, Kentucky had another excellent offensive day when they beat #1 North Carolina 84-70 at home to stay undefeated. The Wildcats made seven of their 15 three-pointers in that game and finished with a 56.3 field goal percentage.

The Wildcats have only given up 48 points per game this season and are first in the country in blocked shots with 8.3 per game. Junior forward Willie Cauley-Stein is their go-to player this year and is currently averaging 10.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Last weekend, UCLA had their four-game winning streak snapped when Gonzaga came into town and beat them 87-74. They didn't play poorly on the offensive end in that game, but their defense allowed Gonzaga to make 58.5 percent of their shots.

Through 11 games this year, the Bruins are in the top 20 in the country in scoring with 80.8 points scored per game. Sophomore guard Bryce Alford has been UCLA's top scorer this season by averaging 18 points per game, and he also leads the team with 6.7 assists per game. True freshman Kevon Looney is averaging a double-double of 13.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per game.
