Saturday afternoon, the Kentucky Wildcats will face the Louisville Cardinals.

The #1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats remained undefeated after routing the UCLA Bruins 83 - 44 on December 20^th. The Wildcats put the game out of reach early after opening with a 24 - 0 run that left the Bruins reeling. By halftime, UCLA had scored just 7 points while Kentucky had scored 41. The game's final result was no longer in doubt even though the Bruins worked hard in the 2^nd half to make the score respectable. Kentucky shot 50% from the field as they held UCLA to just 26% shooting. The Wildcats were led by Devin Booker and his 19 points. Kentucky will face some serious opposition from their in-state rival and a 13^th straight win might not be that easy to get.

The #4 ranked Louisville Cardinals dealt the Cal State Northridge Matadors an 80 - 55 loss on Wednesday. Louisville started things off with a 15 - 2 run and they never let up on Cal State Northridge. The Cardinals were up by 11 at the half and they continued to dominate things in the 2^nd half. The Cardinals were paced by Wayne Blackshear's career high 31 points as Louisville shot 47% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. If Blackshear can post big numbers against the Wildcats, Louisville could get to 12 - 0 while dealing Kentucky their first loss of the season.
