On Monday night, the Jacksonville State Gamecocks will have a tough time picking up their first win of the season as they will have to face the #8 Louisville Cardinals.

Jacksonville State had a hard time making their shots in their opener on Friday night when they were defeated 74-55 by Marshall. They had a whopping 17 turnovers in that loss and they were only able to make 37 percent of their shots.

In that loss to Marshall, Jacksonville State's standout player was guard Avery Moore, who scored 18 points and made 60 percent of his three-point attempts. Senior forward D.J. Felder also played pretty well in that game by scoring six points and pulling down a team-high eight rebounds.

Louisville did play as well as they would have hoped in their game against Minnesota on Friday night, but they still came away with a comfortable 81-68 victory. They made 29 free throws in that win and their defense was able to force Minnesota into committing 18 turnovers.

Junior forward Montrezl Harrell was clearly the best player for the Cardinals in that win over Marshall by scoring a game-high 30 points, grabbing seven rebounds and also finishing with two steals. Guard Terry Rozier had 18 points, six rebounds and four steals in that game, while Chris Jones had 13 points, four rebounds and three steals for Louisville.
