In a battle of two programs with basketball history on their side; the Indiana Hoosiers will take on the Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday night. This game is scheduled to be played at the Madison Square Garden as part of the Jimmy V Classic. Indiana comes into the game with a 7-1 record, while Louisville is a perfect 7-0 on the season. The Hoosiers play out of the Big Ten Conference, while Louisville is three teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference without a loss.

The Louisville Cardinals are coming off an 82-57 win over Florida International on Saturday. The Cardinals are scoring 76 points per game as a team. Louisville has played an 88-39 game, and also a 45-33 game. The Cardinals best wins have both come over Big Ten teams, as they downed Minnesota in the season opener, and most recently beat Ohio State. Montrezl Harrell is the leading scorer for Louisville, with 16.1 points per game. Harrell is also grabbing just shy of 10 rebounds per game.

For Indiana, they are led by head coach Tom Crean. Crean has seen his team score 88 points per game on the season. For the Hoosiers, that offense has them ranked fourth in total score. Indiana’s lone loss came on November 24th, 88-86 to the Eastern Washington Eagles. In the 95-49 win over Savannah State, Indiana was led by Yogi Farrel’s 18 points. Farrell is second on the team with 17.3 points per game. James Blackmon Jr is the top scorer for Crean’s squad with 19.5 per game.
