The IPFW Mastodons will be squaring off against the Purdue Boilermakers on Monday night in a game between two high-scoring offenses. IPFW is 2-2 on the road so far this year, while Purdue is 4-1 on their home floor.

On Saturday night, IPFW won their second game in a row when they beat Miami-Ohio 86-78 at home. They did have 18 turnovers in that game, but they made up for it by hitting 55.3 percent of their shots.

IPFW's offense has been able to average over 77 points per game this year, but they are also giving up over 71 points per game. Their best player has been senior forward Steve Forbes, who is now averaging 16.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Guard Isaiah McCray has scored 11.1 points per game while pulling down a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game.

In their last game, Purdue had their three-game winning streak come to an end when North Florida beat them 73-70. The Boilermakers made just three of their 19 three-point attempts in that loss, and they ended up turning the ball over 14 times.

Through their first eight games, the Boilermakers are in the top 50 in the country in both scoring and field goal percentage. Freshman forward Vince Edwards has been impressive in his first year with the school by averaging 12.1 points and a team-best seven rebounds per game.
