The Holy Cross Crusaders will play at the Peterson Events Center on Tuesday night in an effort to upset the Pittsburgh Panthers. Holy Cross, out of the Patriot League comes in with a 5-4 record. The Crusaders are coming off a blow-out loss at Canisus.

For Pittsburgh, they are 8-3 overall, but have won all five games at home this season. The Panthers are coming off an overtime win over Oakland.

The Panthers have won four straight games since their road loss at Indiana. The other two losses this season for Pittsburgh came at Hawaii, and at home against San Diego State. The top scorer for Pittsburgh has been Michael Young, with 13.7 per game. Young is also leading the team in rebounds, with 8.5. Pittsburgh is playing the fourth of five straight home games. The Panthers will play at North Carolina State on January 3rd.

For Holy Cross, after winning their first three games of the season, they dropped three of their next four. The first loss of the season for the Crusaders came at Syracuse. After beating Albany, Holy Cross lost at Sacred Heart, and at home to Hartford. The top scorer for Holy Cross this season has been Malcolm MIller with 13 points per game. The Crusaders will open their Patriot League slate on New Year’s Eve against Boston.
