On Monday, the Grambling State Tigers will attempt to start their first winning streak of the season when they visit the Oregon State Beavers. The Tigers are 0-5 on the road so far this season, while the Beavers have won all four of the games on their home floor.

On Saturday night, Grambling snapped their four-game losing skid when they defeated Selma 74-64 at home. They didn't shoot the ball very well in that win, but they were able to outrebound Selma 41-30.

The Tigers have had the lowest scoring team in the nation through their first seven games by only averaging 47.6 points per game. Senior forward A'Torri Shine is Grambling State's top scorer this season by averaging 14.1 points per game, while junior forward Mark Gray has scored 8.4 points per game while grabbing a team-best 5.7 boards per game.

Oregon State won their third game in a row on Saturday when they defeated Mississippi State 59-49 on their home floor. They didn't shoot the ball very well in that game, but they did have a 40-34 rebounding advantage and forced 17 turnovers.

Through eight games, the Beavers don't have a very high scoring average, but they are in the top 25 in the country in points against. Junior guard Gary Payton II is the team's leading scorer this season with 13.9 points per game, and he has been able to make 40 percent of his three-point attempts.
