On Tuesday night, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be taking on the Dayton Flyers in a game between two very good defensive teams. Last year, the Flyers found a way to beat the Yellow Jackets 82-72 in Georgia.

On Saturday afternoon, Georgia Tech scored 40 second-half points against Vanderbilt to pull off a 65-60 home win. They didn't shoot the ball particularly well in that game, but they did do well to only commit seven turnovers.

The Yellow Jackets have played well on the defensive end of the court this season, giving up just 60.9 points per game. Junior forward Marcus Georges-Hunt is Georgia Tech's top scorer so far this season by averaging 11.7 points per game, while forward Charles Mitchell has been their top all-around player by averaging 10.5 points and a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game.

Dayton got back on the winning track on Saturday by easily defeating Boston 78-62 at home for their eighth victory of the season. They made 11 of their 23 three-point attempts in that win and finished with a solid 52 field goal percentage.

Through 10 games this season, the Flyers have played excellent defense by only giving up 58.3 points per game to opposing offenses. So far this season, sophomore guard Scoochie Smith has scored 7.2 points per game while leading the team on assists with 3.9 per game.
