On Sunday afternoon, the George Washington Colonials will be going for their fourth win in a row when they face the red-hot Penn State Nittany Lions. The Colonials are 1-2 on the road this season, while the Nittany Lions have been able to win all five of their home games.

George Washington kept their winning streak going on Sunday night by defeating Charlotte 78-70 at home. They shot the ball very well as a team in that game, finishing with a 57.1 field goal percentage.

The Colonials have played well on defense through their first eight games, holding opponents to just 59.3 points per game. Junior guard Patricio Garino has been their top scorer with 15.1 points per game, and he also leads the team with 2.8 steals per game. Joe McDonald has also had a good start to the year by averaging 10 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game.

On Wednesday night, Penn State won their seventh game in a row when they edged Duquesne 64-62 at home. They won despite being outrebounded 38-33 in that game and shooting just 37.7 percent from the field.

The Nittany Lions have been one of the better rebounding teams in the country through 10 games by grabbing 39.7 boards per game. Senior guard D.J. Newbill has clearly been their best player so far this season by averaging 22.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
