Saturday afternoon, the Florida Gators will take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

The Florida Gators literally ate up the Jacksonville Dolphins on Sunday en route to a 79 - 34 win. Despite the final score, this was a close game in the early going. After Florida opened up with a 14 - 4 run, Jacksonville rallied back. The Dolphins made it just a 3 point game before the Gators stretched out again to take a 10 point lead at the half. Whatever fight the Dolphins had left disappeared in the 2^nd half as they were demolished by the Gators. Florida held Jacksonville scoreless for almost the last 7 minutes of the game. The Gators were led by a career high 25 point effort by Dorian Finney-Smith as they shot 54% overall and 48% from the distance. The Gators will need another big performance if they want to win their 4^th straight on Saturday afternoon.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons delivered their own 86 -68 beating to the Samford Bulldogs last Sunday as they ended a 3 game losing streak. Samford put up a tough fight in the 1^st half as they prevented Wake Forest from putting the game out of reach. The Demon Deacons took a 6 point lead into the locker rooms at the half but Samford cut that lead to just 3 with a 3-pointer to open the 2^nd half. The Bulldogs hung on for the first few minutes before the Demon Deacons put them out of the game for good. Devin Thomas led the Demon Deacons with 19 points as Wake Forest shot 49% overall. Wake Forest can expect a hard fight from a tougher Florida team on Saturday.
