The Florida State Seminoles will be playing the Maryland Terrapins on Thursday in the second round of the ACC Tournament. The last time these two met up on Feb. 8, the outcome wasn't how the Seminoles hoped it would turn out. Maryland rolled Florida State by a score of 83-71 in a game where Seth Allen hit his career high mark in scoring. Allen ended the night with 32 points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals. Allen was playing in only his 12th game of the season as he had a fractured foot. He also shot the lights out from deep, shooting 7-of-10. The Terps essentially ran away with this one in the first half by outscoring the Seminoles 46-29 and it was just too much of a lead to come back from.
For the Terrapins, Dez Wells added 15 points, a rebound, six assists, a steal and 2 blocks. Jake Layman contributed 12 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals and a block.
Florida State was led by Aaron Thomas with 17 points, eight rebounds, one assist and three steals. Devon Bookert also added 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal in the losing effort.
