In a battle between two state rivals; the Eastern Michigan Eagles will travel to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines. The Eagles come into the game with a 7-1 record. Eastern Michigan is part of the MAC, where they are one of three teams with just one loss on the season. For Michigan, they are 6-2 overall and 5-1 at home. The Wolverines are coming off a stunning loss on Saturday to the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Michigan won their first four games; including a neutral site win over the Oregon Ducks. The Wolverines then took a 5 point loss to the Villanova Wildcats. Following that, Michigan beat Nicholls State and Syracuse before their loss on Saturday. The Wolverines are led in scoring by Chris LeVert and Zak Irvin. Those two are combining for just under 35 points per game. Levert scored 32 in the loss on Saturday. Michigan will head out west and play at the Arizona Wildcats later this week.

The Eastern Michigan Eagles rank 17th in the nation with 42.5 rebounds per game. The Eagles have been led in rebounding by Karrington Ward, with more than 7 per game. The lone loss for Eastern Michigan came on December 6th at Dayton. Raven Lee scored 26 points in the loss, and on the season is scoring 16.4 per game. The Eagles are playing in their second of four straight road games. They will make trips to Michigan State and Missouri State following this.
